February 27, 2026 - UC Behavioral Health Job and Internship Fair

Time: 9a-Noon
Location: UC Tangeman University Center Great Hall, 2600 Clifton Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45220  

A collaboration with College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies, School of Social Work, College of Allied Health Sciences and School of Human Services in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. Anticipating 55 employers to engage with current students and recent alumni.  Coalition will staff exhibit table.

March 6, 2026 - Problem Gambling CE DAY

Location: Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, 3520 Central Pkwy, Cincinnati, OH 45223

Time: 8a - 1p

Co-Chairs: Eric S. Smith, MHPA, LSW, CDCA & Holly Stoddard, MSSA, LISW, LICDC, Addiction Studies & Human and Social Services Program Chair/Instructor  

This half-day training will provide professional education focused on sports betting, harassment prevention, and culturally responsive gambling treatment. The program will open with “2025 Ohio Survey on Sports Betting & MTAB” (1.5 CEUs) presented by Nabil Pervaiz, MS, OCPS, ICPS, exploring sports betting trends in Ohio, their impact on college communities, and the importance of anti-harassment education on campuses.

The second session, “Treatment Approaches for Disordered Gambling among Minorities in America” (1 CEU), presented by Abdullah Mahmood, LSW, LICDC-GAMB, ICGC-I, OCPS, ICPS, will examine social, cultural, and systemic factors affecting disordered gambling in minority communities, barriers to treatment, and culturally responsive, evidence-based interventions.

The training will conclude with an overview of GAMFIN, highlighting free, virtual, and confidential financial counseling services available to support gambling recovery and encouraging participants to share resources within their organizations and schools. This counts as 1 CEU.
